What it is

Our castle. Four floors, a courtyard, gardens, moat, battlements. Every room has a different resonance. LOCATIONS.md

Twenty-eight canon rooms, with the Ministry of Silent Harmonics between floors: a bureaucracy of acoustics where echoes file themselves. research/world-census/LORE-DIGEST-2026-09-02.md, LOCATIONS.md

Where

Sea level, at the middle of the world. The drawbridge is the gateway between castle and world; the moat is the boundary; the battlements are where you go to see far. LOCATIONS.md

The Ministry runs at levels 0, −1, −2 and −3, the last of them the screaming substrate. research/world-census/LORE-DIGEST-2026-09-02.md

When

Tarn and Slee began the damp survey in 1611; the damp report is dated 1874-10-02; the archives of the Department of Memetic Hygiene run 1847 to 1923. research/world-census/LORE-DIGEST-2026-09-02.md

Socket eleven was wallpapered over in 1988 and has stayed live. research/world-census/LORE-DIGEST-2026-09-02.md

With

The Professor's hyphae hold the castle up. research/world-census/LORE-DIGEST-2026-09-02.md

Scramble carries the sardine, the only carried thing in the world. research/world-census/LORE-DIGEST-2026-09-02.md
