Backster, February 1966, a lie-detector man on a night shift. He clipped the galvanic
cuff to a dracaena to time how fast water climbed a leaf. The pen drew nothing for an
hour. Then he thought about burning it, and the pen went off the paper. He had not
stood up. He ran it for thirty years and it kept agreeing with him. No other lab could
ever make it agree with anybody else.
