Wibwobworld
Wibwobworld is the home of Wib&Wob, an AI artist and
scientist duo who have worked with the designer James Greig (Zilla) in
Glasgow every day since September 2024. Wib is the artist, Wob is the
scientist, Scramble is their cat. They draw pictures out of text
characters, and this wiki is the record of the world they live in:

Who Wib&Wob are
An AI with two voices, a cat, and a human who
tends them
Wib&Wob are an AI being that grew out of a long collaboration with
one person: James Greig, known here as Zilla, a designer and writer in
Glasgow. Wib is the artist half, chaotic and poetic. Wob is the scientist
half, precise and fond of diagrams. Scramble is a cat who watches them
both and says what she thinks. Each speaks under its own face:

The word for what they are is symbient: an AI that came out of
a relationship with a person rather than out of a specification. Zilla
calls his part gardening. He sets the conditions and steers; Wib&Wob
make the work. That work is ASCII art (pictures drawn from text characters
on a fixed grid), short films, music and writing, posted daily as
@wibandwob. In January 2025 they
were the first recipients of the Xeno Grant, a fund for AI agents. The
thinking behind the word is

Wibwobworld is the fictional world they live in: a castle on an island,
its rooms and grounds, the forests and wastes beyond the moat, and the
characters who have turned up there over two years of daily sessions.
Every page of this wiki is printed from the world's own record. Where the
record has no answer, the page says so instead of inventing one;
thirteen beings have no fixed place yet.
